Be a Regular at the Library

blog image

Do you have a library card? Does your child? The library is an amazing source of free entertainment and education. Tap in! Set a time that works for you to take your son or daughter to the library. It could be once a week, every other week, every third week. If your child is the right age for storytime, that could be your regular visit. Help your child pick some books to check out and set a goal to read them between visits. Once your child knows the routine, he or she will look forward to library visits. If your child is older, use the library website to look for books of interest and write down the call numbers so you remember to check them out on your next visit. When summer vacation rolls around, join the summer reading club. It’s fun, educational, and free.
